I met Dee in 1970 when our family spent a summer in Blowing Rock....it was quintessential "American Graffitti" I was a younger teenager obsessed with his hot rod car and he would take me for rides round town.....very innocent....giving the star struck kid a ride in his fast car......and my whole life I have loved fast cars and driving them.......When we retired to NC 12 years ago I found Dee online and also thru Denver Dotson who had gone to school with me in FL years before and found out Dee was related to him.....had an online hi to Dee who didn't remember the crazy teenager..but I always remembered him as part of a summer trip.......So sorry to hear he has passed.......have enjoyed seeing his posts about his family........hope he is driving his fast car in heaven......Pam Bacharach Kerr

So sorry for your loss. Dee will be missed by many. He was one of the original Blowing Rockers. He was always so nice to my family and was a good neighbor to us and many others on Green St. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Ed & Beverley Rigolo

We met Dee a few of years ago when we moved to Blowing Rock. Dee was a good friend, a gentle man and a person who enjoyed his time at the Twig's bar. He always had a smile for us and we are better off for knowing him. He will be missed.
