We are so sorry to hear about Sam. He was the most amazing friend and neighbor anyone could ask for. He was the kindest and most pure soul I have ever met. I will never forget what joy he would bring when passing him daily. He gave us the most thoughtful Christmas card we had ever received. He took the time to draw us multiple pictures of Birds that must have taken hours to make. They were so intricate and beautiful, we still have them on our wall. He always bought such joy to everyone he passed. He was just too pure for this world. Nothing will be the same without him.

I am so sad to hear about Sam. I will keep your family in my thoughts and prayers. I have many great memories of Sam and giving him private art lessons. He was a gifted and talented artist who didn't really need my instruction. His birds, buildings and snakes were much better than mine! He drew beautiful birds, but he always kidded me about not liking snakes! Even after he was grown up and had his own apartment, he remembered me and made my day when he came to buy art supplies at Cheap Joe's and asked if I was there. We had a great visit. Sam was a special person who brought smiles to everyone around him, and he made people laugh.

Such a good friend, amazing artist and musician! He will always live on in our hearts and will be missed greatly. He was the best wookie rookie with a cookie. When asked what he wanted to drink when we would go out for dinner, he would always say "a nice chianti and a friend for dinner" then explain that it was a Hannibal lector reference lol then he would say "I'll have a Dr pepper for the doctor" sending all my love and prayers to the family RIP Sam miss you brother rest easy.

So sorry to hear of Sam's passing. I met Sam through his father Mike at the Boone post office. He always seemed to be happy and had something interesting to say every time I saw him. He couldn't have had a more caring and devoted family to help him through all of his struggles in life. Our prayers are with Mike and Caroline and their family.

Mike, Caroline and family,
Sam couldn’t had a more devoted family. He achieved a lot even though he had many obstacles. When I was at your house 3 years ago, I remember seeing the incredible drawings he had done. Sam was my neighbor these last few years and he will be very missed. He always had a smile and greeted everyone. I use to tell him he was in charge of keeping the wookies away. He's in heaven now asking God all the questions he had for him here on earth. He was a special man and so talented. I was one of the recipients of his Christmas cards that he drew. I'm sure he is in heaven now playing his music and helping out in the heavenly choir. We miss you Sam couldn't have asked for a better neighbor
