Kathy and I returned to Boone last week and learned that Tommy had passed. We wanted to let the Family know how sorry we are to here this news. Our thoughts and prayers are with them. We have so many memories of Tom, Jean and Granny that will last a life time for us and our two children (Tyler and Amanda). Being a close neighbor To Tommy for over 30 years, I learned what being a God servant meant. Always helping others and expecting nothing in return. Tommy was the most generous, kind, sweet man whom we LOVED.
We know that Tommy is finally at rest with his Mom, Dad and Jean.

Tommy was a great person. All the years My family knew him he never changed . He was always so kind ,loving , compassionate, always helping others. He grew up with my dad Arlie Cornett & his siblings,Dayton,Margaret & Dean. His dad Clarence was their Sunday School Teacher growing up at the Shulls Mills Church. We always visited Tommy, his sweet mom Nina Mae & his dad Clarence every time we visited from Pennsylvania. We visited one time after I was grown up & had a family of my own and He & his mother had a deer they were taking care of and he got a bottle and let my children feed the deer. Great memories. Sending love & prayers to all of his family & friends so very sorry for your loss , he will be greatly missed by all who knew & loved him.

I will always remember Tommy bringing his tractor up to the church at Shulls Mill to pull me out of the ditch when I would slide backwards on the slick road. I am sure it was a beautiful reunion with Jean. Loved him very much.
