Obituary of Celia S. Jones

Mrs. Celia Mae Storie Jones, age 93, of Taylor Road, Boone, passed away Wednesday morning, May 7, 2014 at Life Care Center of Banner Elk. Born August 24, 1920 in Washington County, Virginia she was a daughter of the late Charlie and Allie Victoria Lowrance Storie. Celia was a retired seamstress and a member of Shelter Rock Church. She is survived by one sister, Pauline Rule of Madison, three sisters in law, Mabel Jones of Boone, Blanche Jones of Bessemer City, and Jean Mains of Tennessee, two brothers in law, Clifford Jones of Boone, Ralph "Red" Jones of Lenoir, and a number of nieces and nephews, including Gerald Storie and wife Lynn, of Foscoe. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Lee Henry Jones, five sisters, Faye, Frost, Francis, Goldie and Gaye and three brothers, Dale, Dillard and Don Storie. Graveside services and burial for Mrs. Celia Mae Storie Jones will be conducted Friday morning at 11 o'clock at Ashelawn Memorial Park. Officiating will be Rev. David Icenhour. The family respectfully requests no food or flowers.
