Dear Sam, Greg, and Ward, Ruth told me of Carolyn's passing. She also told me of the struggles Carolyn had the past few years. Now is free of infirmity and can enjoy Easter in heaven. Love to you all in this sad time. Novie Greene

Carolyn was the consummate professional, holding the highest standards for herself and for her students. In all she did, "second best" was never good enough. We were colleagues for over 20 years, and I have many, many good memories of her. She was always one classy lady.
Sam I am so sorry to hear about your wife. She was such a lovely sweet lady.

Although Carolyn remained in Boone, she always tried to make the twice yearly meetings of AHS ‘54. We enjoyed her being with us and will miss her greatly. My condolences to the family.
