I’m not sure where to start. I worked for Ed for many years on Hilton head and in North Carolina. He was an amazing teacher! Hard yet honest. I have so many stories and so many amazing times with him. He never meet a stranger. I owe this man so much for what he taught me. I’m typing in tears. I remember working on Jim and jeans cabin with him while we camped at the front door to the campground. He will be missed and will never be replaced. One is all that was made. A true friend if he gave you the privilege of knowing him.

Dear Jane and Family, I am just now learning about Ed's passing. Such wonderful memories of this good man, particularly those of your wedding in Blowing Rock. Ed was kindness, fun and brilliance. You are all in my prayers for peace and comfort.
Much love,
Susan

Ed regularly camped at our campground in Cherokee, NC., where he loved to fish. He soon became a dear and loyal friend. His favorite site was as close as he could get to the coffee pot. We will always remember the many times we rocked together on the porch with coffee, and sat around the community campfire telling tales. We also treasure the many times we got together off season with Ed and Jane, visiting back and forth between their home and ours, Jim and Ed riding their Harleys together, and Ed helping to build our house. Our prayers go out to Jane and family. We are especially grateful to have had this friendship, and thankful for Jane who took care of our dear friend through his illness.

My sincerest condolences to you, Jane and your family, as well as Geraldine and your family. Edward/Eddie, as I always called him, was a great man. He always did the best he could with all he had. Life wasn't always easy but he made it work. I will always remember him. He left footprints on many hearts. Rest in peace my dear cousin.
All my best,
Karyn

My condolences on the passing of my friend Ed. We enjoyed many interesting discussions over the past two years in the comfort of his home. COVID did made it a challenge but we did communicate via phone. Ed was my go to guy as I worked through my home renovations here in Blowing Rock and he graciously lent me his expertise and tools as needed. I will miss his company. May God Bless Jane and family.
