I first spent time with Rose Marie in a car with other Highland Book Club members on our way to see a play at Barter Theater in Abington. We talked about many things and laughed about most. I remember feeling as if Rosie and I had known each other for ages. We had an instant connection, finding the same things funny or ironic and we usually enjoyed the same books. It was the beginning of a long and valuable friendship. Her sense of humor, fairness, love of her family and compassion are what I remember most about her. Jack is no slouch in the humor department either and we all had fun together. Although we didn’t keep up in later years, I will miss knowing she’s here. Love and real hugs, Jack.
