God Bless you Uncle Earl. I can only imagine how happy you are now, reunited with your lovely wife Ruth. Both Uncle Earl and Aunt Ruth were cornerstones in my life. As a child, our large family would go visit and stay with Uncle Earl, Aunt Ruth, and Cousin Billy every summer where many of my fondest childhood memories were created. Uncle Earl would take me to church at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Banner Elk, which I always enjoyed and I would help him with the chores. I remember him always being in a "rascally" good mood. It was always clear how much loves Auth Ruth and Billy. As an adult, I would visit them in North Carolina when I could, usually related to one of my work trips to the East Coast or when I would drive with family across the country to visit. One time Uncle Earl and Billy came to Hawaii (and we all know how Earl is with heights like flying and very high mountains like Pikes Peak!) - I took them to tour the USS Missouri. One of the pictures I have posted is of that time in Hawaii (1997 or so) and the other when he, Aunt Ruth and Billy came to visit our family in Colorado (~1978). What beautiful memories that I am so grateful for and will always cherish. I love you Uncle Earl.
May peace and healing be with Billy and all the family. May God's Love and Light surround your hearts as you know that Earl will be carried in your hearts forever.

Earl was a devoted member of the Gideons International - Wilkes South Camp for the past 17 years. He loved the Lord and the Gideon Ministry. And he loved his Sunday School Class at Wilkesboro Baptist where he was a member for several years. Earl was always cheerful and brightening up everyone's day.
You are safe in the arms of Jesus, my dear friend.
