Thoughts and prayers for Barbara and family. Cecil was one in a million and will be greatly missed! He was the first person my family met on Beech Mtn. and will always hold him in the highest esteem. Loved hearing his stories!

Susie, Tony and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I'm sure he was a wonderful person. When I saw who his parents were I realized I knew his mother very well. I worded with Gladys for years. In the early 1970's I mentioned to Gladys I would love to have a piano. She said her Mom and Dad, the Hicks, had to get rid of theirs in order to put a daybed in the living room. She said no one in the family wanted the piano because it was so big. I bought the piano for a low price. Mrs. Hicks said she just wanted the piano to go to a good home where someone would play gospel music. I love my old piano. Wonderful people. My thoughts and prayers are with you. He always passed by my grandma Gladys house and stop and wave and give me a big smile and 5 dollars here and there. So sorry condolence from Christina ward and Eugene and Mary Ward my parents.

Although he was my father in-law for only 11 years we shared the love of NASCAR , and he taught me so much about a lot of things . He always took care of his family . Barbara Ann , Susie , William , and Bill you have my prayers. May the Lord be with you always !

Cecil was a wonderful man. He loved good hard work. He loved going on Beech Mountain to work and meeting new people. Cecil never met a stranger. Cecil was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Cecil was so proud and loved his grandkids. Cecil, thank you for being the best father in law to me. Love and prayers to Barbara, Susie, Bill, William, and all of the family.
