Lorna & Family of Mr. Willard, I'm so sorry to hear of the passing of this dear sweet man. He was a teacher/coach of my youngest brother when I first met this man. He became a great friend to my brother and years later to me as well. Any time I saw him, he would ask me "how's that mean brother of yours?" Mr. Willard called him mean because my brother and some of his classmates loved to pull pranks on him in school or at practice. May the Good Lord send you Peace, Mercy, and Strength so you can make it through these difficult days ahead.
My condolence in the death of Mr. Willard. When he first came to Boone son Tommy and I lived closed to them and Tommy played with Mitchell. One year for father's day Tommy wrote about Mr. Willard, his coach, for Father's Day. I remember him fondly and the picture of his daughter that she had written at Sunday School before she got killed. His wife was very friendly and nice to me and Tommy. I am saddened to hear of Mr. Willard's passing. He was my 5th grade teacher at Happy Valley. He taught us to be better people. After all these years, he still remains the best teacher I ever had.
