It was always such a pleasure to come to the restaurant and have Emory come and sit with me. We talked about the past, present and future. He was a friend like no other. May you find comfort in knowing he is no longer in pain, but sitting talking with Gale on a seat of pearl. Love and comforting prayers to the family. Emory, my friend you are already missed

What a JOY he was!! If we can to eat breakfast, he ALWAYS came to sit and chat and share funny stories with the Stories.. I will always have the memory of him sweeping at Mary's kitchen and tending his lone tomato plant near the front door of the restaurant. He loved to tell stories about Button! Will miss him at Mary's kitchen as well as seeing him doing yard work at his house on Laurel Fork. Bless all of you!

To Mary and family - you are in our thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time. We have so many fond memories of Emery at Mary's Kitchen. He always had a smile on his face and loved to come and sit at our table and he would share some of his jokes and funny stories of his past. Emery loved to come up behind me, and scream or try any way to scare me to death while eating at Mary's Kitchen. It kind of became a game to see who could scare each other the most. Emery, we love you dearly and know that you are pain free now and happy. Fly high our dear sweet friend until we see you again. Love, hugs, and prayers Jim and Laura Shrake.
