Josephine "Elaine" Schweinsberg made her Journey to Heaven 7/30/2020, where she would join her beloved husband Greg, whom she missed dearly. She is survived by her 3 children daughter Theresa and sons Russell and Gregory. Grandchildren Isabel, Jocelyn, Nathaniel, Cydney, John, Lilly, Daniel, Samuel and one Great Grandchild Desi. She is also survived by her lifelong friend Lyda. Her family was her pride and joy and she bragged on them to everyone she could. She loved to read, send cards, letters and receive phone calls from her family and friends. These were often the highlight of her day. She had a great love for sewing and was a wonderful seamstress and throughout her life creating many fabulous outfits and quilts for her family. Elaine was known for her big heart and love of others. Throughout her life, her home was often full with exchange students, foster children, relatives and family friends. Giving them a place of love and sanctuary with no judgement while they needed it and never asking for anything in return. She was always there for her children and grandchildren. She was their biggest fan and supporter and would listen with a sympathetic ear, give encouragement and was proud of each and every one of them. She lived out her Christian Faith and was active in the church throughout her life. She and her husband were Youth Leaders when their children were growing up. She sang in the choir, was active in the Women's Circle and Quilting group. We are so Thankful for Project on Aging and Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care for the wonderful care they provided. Both agencies made it possible for us to be able to care for her at home, right where she wanted to be. A Private service was held in the Grace Lutheran Memorial Garden presided over by Pastor Steve Troisi.
