Obituary of Jack S. Wellborn

Mr. Jack Sherrill Wellborn, age 78, of US 221 North, Deep Gap, passed away Wednesday afternoon, April 2, 2014 at home. Born December 8, 1935 in Watauga County he was the son of the late Russell and Mabel Triplett Wellborn. Jack was a member and Deacon at Gap Creek Baptist Church. True to his name he was a �Jack� of all trades and the owner and operator of J & M Wrecker service for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joanne Critcher Wellborn, one son, Phil Wellborn, one daughter in law, Debbie Roark Wellborn, two granddaughters; Courtney W. Eller and husband Jason of Todd and Meagan Wellborn of Deep Gap, two great grandchildren; Sawyer and Peyton Eller of Todd, one sister, Jan Blackburn and husband Chuck of Deep Gap, and a number of nieces, nephews and in laws. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Mark Wellborn and his maternal grandparents, Grady and Lettie Triplett.
Funeral services for Mr. Jack Sherrill Wellborn will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o�clock at Laurel Springs Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Keith Wagner, Rev. Paul Coffey and Rev. Ricky Critcher. Burial will follow in Laurel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. The family respectfully requests no flowers. The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 o�clock until 9 o�clock at Laurel Springs Baptist Church.
