Dear Judy and family,
I am so sorry to hear of the death of your dear husband, our dear cousin, Eddie. My sisters in Boone, Betty and Becky, always keep me updated on our family situations. I will always remember Eddie as a fun-loving, smiling cousin, such an easy-going manner! Most of the kids by our Daddy, Aunt Helen, & Uncle Shuford, so often met on Sundays after church, to eat at Grandma & Grandpa Edmisten's house, play in the small front year, or the larger side yard. I have always loved all my cousins! And sometimes argue over who "got to use the Swing on their front porch" ! :) Such good old times! As we got older and went our separate ways--some of us moving from Boone, I was out of touch with many family members, but again my sisters would keep me informed. The last time I saw Eddie was at our dear Aunt Helen's service. To me, he looks the same as when he was a youngster--never changed, always smiling, always fun! My thoughts and prayers are with you and all the family as we grieve Eddie's loss, and prayers for your safety as we try to get through these bad circumstances in this world. May God Bless You and all our families, and bring you His Peace, which passes all understanding, in the coming days. All my love, Anne Edmisten Barba & husband, Greg, in Roanoke, Va.

So sorry to hear about Ed. What a great guy. As a kid growing up at the Holiday Gulf. I would ride my bicycle down to hang out with Ed and whoever was there. One day I was following Ed around and he stopped and looked at me and said you ask a lot of damn questions. lol. Never have forgot that day. And it's been 50 years. RIP my friend. Love ya!

I am So Sorry for Your Loss. Ed was a Good Friend to Many People in and around Watauga County. Anybody that got to know Ed soon became his Friend. He always told me, Gary, I don't know if you know this or not, but you and I are kin. He would say, Your Grandmother and My Grandmother were cousins, or something like that. Ed always liked to stop and share a story with everyone and Everyone Will Miss Ed!
May God Bless His Soul, and May God touch Your Family during this time. I can't wait to see Ed again one day in Our Heavenly Home, so we can share those stories again> May God Bless You All!
