Colleen, I never met your sister, but please give her my thoughts as well...I first remember seeing HV in Starbucks years ago wearing his Navy hat and knew he probably had an interesting story to tell. Once I finally introduced myself, boy did he have an interesting life story! I think along the way I told many many people about your dad. I always hoped to see him there when I was there just so I could talk to him. My fondest memory (there are many) was when he gave me the starbucks gift cards for my boys. He had only met them once to that point and I thought that was truly a kind gesture. He always remembered their names and asked about their sports. There just aren't many people like your dad, and even though I only knew him a short portion of his life, I don't think I'll ever meet anyone quite like him again.
My love to your family,
Ben Hale II & Ben and Bo

HV and Jeanne were very special friends. Going to carshows or out to eat we always had a great time. Age difference never mattered to them, they just fit right in. When our grandson was born with issues, they kept him in their prayers and always asked about Ethan. Our lives were better for knowing them. RIP

I am so saddened to hear of HV's passing. You know, he told me "HV" stood for high velocity. I loved that man as if he were my own grandfather. I am so, so sad to hear of his passing!!! I loved that man to death, literally!!! Please accept my condolences. He will be missed. Love from all of us at the HT Starbucks- Love, especially, from Felicia.

Missing you HV Morris. He was a generous, kind and honorable gentleman. Miss his smart remarks, sense of humor and intellectual conversations as well as funny stories about his life. Thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of sorrow. You were truly blessed to have him in your lives and as short of a time I've known him, I feel so fortunate to have known him. RIP HV, I know how happy you are to be with your beautiful wife Jeanne.
