Please know your family is in my prayers. I always enjoyed talking to Eula Mae, she was always so kind and funny. We joked with each other when we went to the Wellness Center about getting our names on the recognition wall. I also remember her from attending First Baptist Church. My children benefited from the Children's Ministry Center that was started in memory of your deceased sister. She was such a great lady and I will always remember her fondly.

I just loved Eula May! Being a home care employee at Appalachian Brian Estates I was in contact with her almost every shift I worked. She was such a blessing to know and she will be greatly missed. I hope the family will be blessed with God's peace and comfort during this difficult, sad time.

Eula Mae was one of the classiest ladies I ever met. The lessons I learned from her are still with me today. I never will forget the time Mike and I had her and EB over for dinner and she complimented me on what a nice table I had set and how colorful my arrangement of food was on the plate. A great lady that will be sorely missed.

I remember Eula Mae when we taught together at Parkway School from 1973 to 1978. Her husband E.B. was the personnel director when I was offered my first teaching job Parkway School. I attended church at First Baptist in Boone with Eula Mae and her family. Eula Mae was an exceptional teacher and friend to me at Parkway. She always was willing to help me with special projects for my students. I saw her some 40+ years later at an NCRSP convention and she still remembered me. I was blessed to have known her. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of her family. I know that she will be truly missed. Bill Wheeler

Oh, dear ones, I hold such rich and joyous memories of your mom and indeed, of all of you. I feel so privileged to have been among the many who were taught by your mom. She was a loving example of integrity and service and such an excellent educator that when we started High County United Church of Christ, I thought, "If I could have anyone in the world as a children's Sunday School teacher to help us launch this new endeavor, who would I get?" And, of course, Eula Mae came to mind. She said yes, immediately, and for our first few years, taught the children of our new church, giving us the firm foundation we needed to succeed! I feel so profoundly grateful to have sojourned with all the Fox brothers through our early lives, to have spent happy, happy times at Flintlock, and to have had such a blessed heritage of friendship and goodness as we all have shared. Your mom, and all of you have always been such gifts for Fred and me, and for our parents, too. Your mom and dad were unfailingly kind to them, as they were to everyone. As the elders pass from us, all we can say is, "Well done, good and faithful ones." We can hope to honor their memories through our own lives. I sorrow with you, and am grateful for your mom's life among us. Rest in power and wisdom, Eula Mae, just as you lived.
So much love to all of you.

I'm so sorry to hear of Eula Mae's passing. My favorite memory of Eula Mae is of her telling me how she knitted socks for soldiers in WW2, but she couldn't turn the heel, so her mother had to do it for her and then hand the sock back to Eula Mae to finish. She loved her grandchildren so much and never missed a chance to let people know what they were doing. It seemed like she must have taught half of Watauga County, and she could remember all of them. It always made me happier to have a chance to talk to Eula Mae and she'll be sorely missed.

Dear Fox family, I am saddened to hear of the passing of this dear woman. What a full life she had during her 90 years and all of the lives she touched! Talk about a legacy! The Fox family is so respected in Watauga County, and much of it can be traced back to the lives of Eula Mae and E.B. They raised a fine family. May the Lord strengthen you in the days ahead.

The first time I met Ms. Fox was at Green Valley School! She was my Home Ec teacher as a child! I loved her class. She was the sweetest and most kindest teacher always with a smile. I was lucky enough later in life to meet her sons George and Charlie and Cynthia and get to know her even better! She was a lovely sweet soul with a sincere heart! We will miss you and see you again in Heaven.

I was a manager at Flintlock. I would see someone with their pet in the flowers and would say “‘ you know Eula Mae a woman in her 80’s tends those flowers “
They all would quickly remove their pet and I’d say thank you. Sometimes I would be riding with her to go repair an electrical issue. She would tell me stories of the past. I loved listening to her. Lauren and I send our condolences to the family. She will be greatly missed by all.

Mrs. Fox was delivered by my grandmother, Nora Moore Storie, who was a midwife in the Aho community. I treasure Mrs. Fox's article that she wrote several years back for the Watauga Democrat that detailed her birth and my grandmother's role in bringing her into the world. I have memories of her parents, Marion & Lyda, visiting my grandmother Nora and my grandfather Jake at their home in the Aho community. I had the pleasure of running in to Mrs. Fox and talking with her about 10 years ago at the Watauga County Library. I was saddened to learn of her passing.

To the family of Eula Mae Fox, what a wonderful client and friend Eula Mae was to me! Our conversations about her Sunday school class, which she loved to attend was just a small joy in her life. Her biggest pride was her sons, who all had great wives that she adored, her beloved sister Nancy, her beloved husband, but most of all she mentioned her daughter Martha. I can't help but to think of the reunion she had with her loved ones. Thank you for sharing this angel with me! Fly high Eula Mae! ❤
