We are grieving the loss of our friend and classmate Jo Shane. She was adventurous and fun loving and marched to her own beat which made all of us love her more. We were lucky to have spent some time with her a couple reunions ago. We will miss her. Sending positive energy and comfort to her loved ones. We are sending a donation to help rescue canines which we know was near and dear to her heart.

Dear Asako, Cid and Bud,
So very sorry to hear about Jo’s passing. In the short time I knew her she truly seemed to have a genuine lust for life. Quick with a smile and a laugh and an orneriness that was very refreshing. I poured a glass of wine to toast her life and then thought, no...a shot of tequila would be more appropriate. So, here’s to Jo as she rides towards the sun and into the Mystic. I love you all and always will. Stephe Rousseau.

My deepest sympathy to all of Jo’s Family and friends. You are not not alone in your sadness. Reading all the tributes to Jo her smile, laugh, and friendship were mentioned time and again. Let’s let those memories fill the void and help hearts heal. I hope she is the first one I see , I can see her now... her wings tie-dyed, trumpet in hand, and when she blows it I bet it sounds like that aah- ooh- gah horn on her truck! That horn always made us crack up , and brought out that incredible smile Jo had. Good bye for now ,my friend ...

Many years ago Jo and I drove to CA from Ohio to start a new life. We went with two others. It lasted about 3 weeks and back to Ohio I went. We have remained friends and she has been to Colorado to visit. We have communicated on facebook and she was such a good person. I am so sorry and offer my condolences to her partner and her family.
Jo's smile and zest for life will live on in memories.

Mary Jo was a classmate. I remember her always smiling and laughing. She was always fun and had a lot of energy for play. I saw her a few years ago was the first I had seen her since school and she was still smiling and the same sweet person who I knew from school. I am so sorry you are all going through this terrible loss for your family. I am praying for you that her precious memories will comfort and encourage you in the days ahead.

I went to high school with Jo. Even then, she was a great artist. I’ve had brief encounters with Jo over the years since, a life collage that was like watching a flower open. I’m sorry you had to go this way, but autumn is in the air and you’ve taken that last ride over the hill. Via con dios, Jo. We’ll miss you, that wide smile, and hope to see you again one day.
