I just visited with Missie last Tuesday or Wednesday and I am so saddened to hear of her passing! She was such a special friend to me and I was truly blessed by knowing her! She will always hold a special place in my heart! My prayers go out to you Lynn and All of her family & friends -May you find comfort in the memories that you have shared!
Lynn & family, I am so grateful to have known Missie, and thoroughly enjoyed meeting her for lunch on several occasions. Her advocacy efforts made significant contributions to individuals with disabilities, and I was inspired by her work during a time when the world was not as open to new thinking about disability rights. My daughter enjoyed knowing Missie and Susie and has fond memories of them both. The world is a better place because Missie was in it and she paved the way for other advocates.
