Obituary of Pauline Goulds

Mrs. Pauline Eggers Sherwood Goulds, age 88, of Highway 421 South, Deep Gap, passed away Friday morning, February 14, 2014 at home. Born June 7, 1925 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Rev. Roby Eggers and Sallie Bumgardner Eggers. Pauline was retired from Blue Ridge Shoe and was a member of Highland View Baptist Church. She is survived by two nieces, Darlene Thomas and Janis Abel, and her caregivers, R. D. and Betsy Watson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Rev. Gene L. Sherwood, her second husband, Wright Goulds, a daughter, Teresa Sue Sherwood, two brothers, Ernest and Dwight Eggers and one sister, Mozella Eggers Thomas. Funeral services for Mrs. Pauline Goulds will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Sherrill Wellborn. Burial will follow in the Zionville Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 2 o'clock until 3 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
