Obituary of Clyde W. Miller

Mr. Clyde W. Miller, age 93, of Meat Camp Road, Boone, passes away Wednesday morning, January 23, 2013 at home. Born October 31, 1919 in Watauga County he was a son of the late John Clay and Esther Jane Eller Miller. Clyde was a farmer and a member of Proffit's Grove Baptist Church. He is survived by two sons; Fred Miller and wife Libby, and Mike Miller, two grandchildren; David and Rebecca Dawn Miller Harmon all of Boone, and great granddaughter, Eva Grace Harmon of Boone; two step granddaughters; Treva Hardy of Boone and Kimberly Rominger of West Jefferson, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Ella Grace Miller, his special friend; Sarah Greene, 5 sisters; Pearl Winebarger, Lois Winebarger, Chessie Winebarger, Blanche Osborne, and an infant, and 4 brothers; Van, Clint, Ford and Ward Miller. Funeral services for Mr. Clyde W. Miller will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Proffit's Grove Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Delmar James, Rev. Eric Proffit and Rev. Jerry Moretz. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:30 until 1 o'clock at Proffit's Grove Baptist Church.
