Mrs. Anna Mae Foster Stroh, age 87, of Blowing Rock, passes away Sunday evening January 13, 2013 at the Davant Extended Care Facility. Born December 4, 1925 in Cleveland County, she was a daughter of the late Charles Elrod and Flossie Hudson Foster. Anna was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary of The Hills Episcopal Church.
She is survived by one son; Bill Stroh of Boone, three grandchildren; Allison Postlethwait of Chapel Hill, Ryan Postlethwait and wife Lindsey of Boone, and Nathan Stroh and wife Chelsea of Boone, one sister; Ethel Sumlin and husband Ira of Lenoir and a number of beloved extended family members. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband; William George Stroh, one daughter; Elizabeth Postlethwait, and three brothers; Charles, Buddy and Hayden Foster.
Memorial services for Mrs. Anna Mae Foster Stroh will be conducted Friday morning, January 18, 2012 at 11 o'clock at St. Mary of the Hills Episcopal Church. Officiating will be Father Rick Lawler. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Davant Extended Care Facility, Resident Council Fund, Attn: Marie, PO Box 148, Blowing Rock, NC 28605.
