Obituary of Lowell F. Miller

Mr. Lowell F. Miller, age 66, of George Moretz Lane, Boone, passed away Tuesday evening December 11, 2012 at Johnson City Medical Center. He was born August 5, 1946 in Watauga County. Lowell was a US Army Veteran, having served during Vietnam and was a former member of the 1451st North Carolina National Guard. Mr. Miller was an accountant in Boone for more than 30 years. He is survived by his wife Charlotte Miller, two daughters; Kristie Lewis and husband Scotty of East Bend and Charity Miller and husband James Combs of Boone, one son; Mark Miller of Boone, four grandchildren; Kaylie and Charlotte Lewis and Riley and Jackson Combs, one sister; Shirley Deck of Deep Gap, one half-brother; Kevin Miller of Los Angeles, California and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Funeral services for Mr. Lowell F. Miller will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 2 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jerry Moretz and Rev. Eric Cornett. Graveside services with military honors provided by American Legion Post 130 and DAV Chapter 90 will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. The family will receive friends prior to the service from noon until 2 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
