Obituary of Billie M. Wilson

Mrs. Billie Mast Wilson, age 84, of Boone passed away Friday morning, November 30, 2012 at Glenbridge Health & Rehabilitation. Born June 17, 1928 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Mamie Henson Mast. Billie originally started her secretarial career at Wilcox Drug Co. where she worked for several years, and later retired from ASU where she worked in several departments as a secretary. She is survived by four nephews; Terry Combs and wife Wanda of Sugar Grove, Tony Combs and wife Becky of Zionville, Chris Combs and wife Sally of Durham and Steve Combs and wife Denise of Sugar Grove, one niece; Charlie Cole and husband Doug of Boone. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Steve Wilson and one sister; Peggy Mast Combs. Billie loved to walk and play golf. Her flower garden on Green Street was a favorite pastime where she spent many hours in healthier times. Billie also enjoyed celebrating events with family and friends. Funeral services for Mrs. Billie Mast Wilson will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Katherine Cornell. Burial will follow in the Mast Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon prior to the service from 1 o�clock until 2 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
