Obituary of Margaret S. Harmon

Mrs. Margaret Swart Harmon, age 70, of Phillips Branch Road, Vilas, passed away Tuesday evening, September 11, 2012 at home. Born November 9, 1941 in Wilmington, NC, she was a daughter of the late Cornelius and Annie Braak Swart. Margaret was a retired Clinical Social Worker, having worked at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. But her greatest joy was being a mother, wife and homemaker. She was an avid hiker, quilter and a member of Holy Cross Episcopal Church. She is survived by her husband Joe Harmon, one son; Kirk Nance of Fayetteville and one daughter; Emily Jividen of Raleigh, one granddaughter; Harper Jividen of Raleigh, two brothers; Dirk Swart and Andrew Swart both of Castle Hayne, NC and two sisters; Gloria Leonard and Eleanor Davis both of Rocky Point. Memorial services for Mrs. Margaret Swart Harmon will be conducted Saturday afternoon at 1 o'clock at Holy Cross Episcopal Church.
