Mr. George Raymond Cline, age 66, of Brown Trout Road, Banner Elk, died Tuesday morning, September 4, 2012 at Carolinas� Medical Center in Charlotte. Born October 30, 1945 in Tazwell, Virginia, he was a son of the late Kermit and Marie Weaver Cline. George was a retired truck driver and a member of Clarks Creek Baptist Church. He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, having served during Vietnam. He is survived by his wife; Wanda Townsend Cline, two daughters; Maria Cole and husband Chad of Vilas, and Amy Cline of the home, two granddaughters; Abigail and Paisley Cole of Vilas, two brothers; Bill Cline and wife Dorothy, and James Cline and wife Sherry of all of Lansing, one sister, Stella Massey and husband Kenneth of Lansing, four nieces; Lynn and Becky Massey, Christy Houck and Sharon Price, ten nephews; Mark and Kenny Massey, bobby and James Cline, David Eldreth, Charlie and Travis Townsend, Shannon, Scott and Mitchell Townsend. He was preceded in death by his parents; Kermit and Marie Weaver Cline, and his mother and father in law; Reba and Mack Townsend. Funeral services for Mr. George Raymond Cline will be conducted Friday evening at 8 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Mike Townsend, Rev. Daniel Trantham and Rev. Chad Cole. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 6 o�clock until 8 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. Graveside services and burial for Mr. George Cline will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o�clock at Ashelawn Memorial Park & Gardens.
