Mr. Lynn Greene, age 65, of Flat Springs Road, Elk Park, died Tuesday evening, July 3, 2012, at his home. Born January 7, 1947 in Avery County, Lynn was a son of Ted Sherman and Maude Greene. He served in the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Era and was a retired carpenter. His favorite pastime included fishing, duck hunting, and gardening.
Lynn was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Graveside services with military honors provided by the American Legion Post #130 will be conducted Monday morning, July 9th, 2012, at 11 o'clock at the Flat Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. Officiating will be Rev. Bryan Miller.
