Obituary of Jennie W. Hollars

Mrs. Jennie Wellborn Hollars, age 92, of Mt. Pleasant Road, Wilkesboro and a former resident of Boone, passed away Saturday morning, June 9, 2012 at home. Born February 15, 1920 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late John Sherman and Nancy Greene Wellborn. Jennie was a homemaker and attended Shady Grove Baptist Church in Wilkesboro. She is survived by her grandson; Craig Hollars, Jr., and wife Jennifer of Wilkesboro, one half sister; Carolyn Austin of Boone, one step sister; Bonita Stewart of Wilkesboro , one step brother; Hershel Greene and wife Imogene of Boone., three great grandsons, and one great great granddaughter, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Jones Hollars, two sons, Frank Hollars and Craig Hollars, one sister; Norma Parker, and four brothers; Newland, Russell, Edward and Johnson Wellborn. Funeral services for Mrs. Jennie Wellborn Hollars will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Tom Moore and Rev. Sherrill Wellborn. Burial will follow in the Hollars Cemetery at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens. The family will receive friends Tuesday one hour prior to the service from 2 o�clock until 3 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
