Vonley Elester Watson, age 43, of Rominger Road, Banner Elk, died Monday, February 27, 2012. Vonley was born May 27, 1968 in Watauga County to late Everette Earl and Venice Lee Ray Watson. He was a member of God's House of Worship in Banner Elk. Vonley was a cable splicer contractor for various telephone companies.
He is survived by two sons, Jessie Watson of Sugar Grove, and his fianc�, Ashley Dotson, Johnathan Watson of Sugar Grove, and granddaughter, Allison Mae Watson of Sugar Grove; one sister, Lelia Ellison and husband, Kelly, of Todd; two nephews, Gregory Greene of West Jefferson and Josh Watson of Banner Elk; one niece, Stephanie Stapleton, and husband Daniel, of Banner Elk, two great nephews Ethan Perry and Graham Stapleton, one great-niece, Ayla Perry. Several aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Everette Earl and Venice Lee Ray Watson, and one brother, Earl Watson.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, morning, March 1, 2012, at 11 o'clock at the Austin Barnes Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow in the Watson Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6 until 8 PM at Austin & Barnes.

The family will be at the home of his sister, Lelia and Kelly Ellison, 1166 NC Hwy. 194 South, Todd.
