Kimberly Dawn Rodefer Walters, age 45, of Bethel Road, Sugar Grove, died Friday evening, February 10, 2012 at Watauga Medical Center. Kimberly was born July 6, 1966 in Kingsport, Tennessee. She was a supervisor at the former Ribbons Textiles in Boone and was a member of Mabel Baptist Church.
Mrs. Walters is survived by her husband, Scottie William Walters; daughter, Jessica Renee Ward of Sugar Grove and her fianc� Daniel Edmisten; mother, Ruth Ann Adams Gibbons and husband Roger of Ronda; sister, Melissa Rodefer Spicer and husband, Tommy, and two nieces, Sarah and Katie Spicer, all of Wilkesboro; grandmother, Kathleen Adams Moore of Vilas; mother-in-law, Brenda Gail Pippin of Boone and father-in-law, Allen Clinton Walters of Church Hill, TN.; brother-in-law, Andy Neal Pippin and wife, Michelle, of Nickelsville, VA; and special friends, Michelle Henson and Lisa Rominger Crisp.
She was preceded in death by her father, J. Luther Rodefer, maternal grandfather, James Oliver Adams, and paternal grandparents, Carl 'Soda' and Maxie Rodefer.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday evening, February 13, 2012, at 7 o'clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel, officiated by Rev. Carl Johnson and Rev. Quincy Norris. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 5:30 until 7 o'clock, prior to services, at Austin & Barnes. At other times, the family will be at the residence.
Graveside services will be conducted Tuesday morning, February 14, 2012, at 11 o'clock at Adams Cemetery.
