Obituary of Dennis O. Miller

Mr. Dennis Oliver Miller, age 62, of Hillside Street, Lenoir, and a former resident of the Triplett community, died Tuesday morning December 13, 2011 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Born February 7, 1949 in Watauga County he was a son of the late Turner and Effie Carroll Miller. Dennis was retired from the furniture industry. He is survived by his children; Steven Miller and wife Erica of Lenoir, Dawn Rinks of Nashville, TN, Lora Cornwell and husband Steve of Hermitage, TN, Matthew Miller and Kayla Miller, three sisters; Virginia Watson and Nancy Hurley both of Deep Gap and Pansy Leftwich of Pilot Mountain,a sister in law; Rita Miller of Deep Gap, seven grandchildren; Dylan Stevens, Tyler Wren, Noah Wren, Adalyn Cornwell, Nevaeh Miller, Thomas Buxton Miller and Natalie Lynn Miller. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son; Joshua Matthew Miller, and one brother Johnny Miller. Funeral services for Mr. Dennis Oliver Miller will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Rhymer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the family in care of Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Friday afternoon from 1 o�clock until 3 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
