Obituary of Beulah W. Moretz

Mrs. Beulah Winebarger Moretz, age 83, of Winston-Salem and a former resident of the Big Hill Community died Monday, morning, December 12, 2011 at home. Born May 5, 1928 in Watauga County she was a daughter of the late Arthur and Lydia Moretz Winebarger. Mrs. Moretz was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church and was currently attending Redland Pentecostal Holiness Church in Advance, NC. Beulah was a homemaker. The family would like to thank Edith for the special care she has given to their mother for the past several years. She is survived by her children; Viola Greene, Forrest Moretz and Kyle Moretz all of Boone, Eva Jordan of Greensboro, Edith Widener of Winston-Salem and Boyd Moretz of Deep Gap, one sister in law; Edna Artz of Kannapolis, nine grandchildren twelve great grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Henry Odell Moretz, two children; Nelson Moretz and Janel Moretz, and two sisters; Thelma Winebarger and Arlene Brown. Funeral services for Mrs. Beulah Winebarger Moretz will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 2 o�clock at Bethany Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Pastor Laura Weant and Pastor Jonathan Hill. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Flowers are accepted or memorials may be made to Bethany Lutheran Church Cemetery Fund, in care of Jerry Moretz, 237 George Moretz Lane, Boone, NC 28607. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 o�clock until 8:30 at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
