Obituary of Suzy K. Hearn

Ms. Susan Kay �Suzy� Hearn, age 55, of Vilas, died Sunday at home. Born August 30, 1956 in Louisville, Kentucky, she was a daughter of William M. Hearn and Dexter Elam Hearn. As a child and teenager she lived with family in Nashville, TN. Susan was a graduate of Appalachian State University as a naturalist. She served as a caretaker of the Daniel Boone Native Gardens for many years. She also worked for the Town of Boone for a time, and later owned a landscaping business. She is survived by one son; Nathaniel �Nathan� Jackson of Boone, her mother Dexter Hearn of Montgomery, Alabama, her father; William M. Hearn of Pinehurst, NC, two sisters; Elaine Boese and husband Larry of Montgomery, Alabama and Bonnie Hearn of Asheville. Memorial services for Ms. Suzy Hearn will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 4:30 at the Daniel Boone Native Gardens. Officiating will be Rev. Gerald Hodges.
