Obituary of Terri B. Moretz

Mrs. Terri Lynn Baker Moretz, age 62, of Taylorsville and a former resident of Creston died Wednesday morning, October 12, 2011 at Valley Nursing Center in Taylorsville. Born January 7, 1949 in Toccoa, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Joseph Baker and Julia Tucker Baker. Terri was a graduate of Appalachian State University and a master gardener and artist. She was a member of the Ashe County Farmers Market and Handscraft Gallery. She is survived by two sons; Jon Moretz and wife Kim of Creston and Karl Moretz and wife Leah of Boone; two granddaughters; Liberty Anne and Siah Lena Moretz both of Boone, one step-grandson; Austin Amon one step granddaughter; Amber Amon both of Creston, her mother; Julia Tucker Baker of Pittsboro; her brothers and sisters; Tony Baker and wife Anne and Michele Haith and husband Eddie all of Pittsboro, Daniel Baker of Elizabeth City, Chris Baker and wife Carol of Rockville, Maryland, Kasey Thanos of Greensboro, Tracey Ocampo and husband Jorge of Siler City, Kelley Baker of Durham and Baron Baker and wife Jen of Durham and one sister in law; Mary Greene Baker of Boone. She was preceded in death by her husband; Jim Moretz, her father; Joseph Baker, and one brother; Pat Baker. Memorial services for Mrs. Terri Lynn Baker Moretz will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Luke's Episcopal Church. Officiating will be Rev. Cindy Banks.
