Obituary of Kathryn L. Crepeau

Mrs. Kathryn Loomis Crepeau, age 59, of Cherrybrook Lane, Boone, died Sunday evening, February 3, 2008 at Watauga Medical Center. Born December 12, 1948 in Bethesda, Maryland, she was a daughter of the late Floyd Loomis and Joy Smith Loomis. Kathryn taught English at Mt. Carmel High School in San Diego, California for twenty-two years. She also taught at English at Caldwell Community College and Freshmen Seminars at Appalachian State University. She was a member of the ASU Women's Evening Book Club. Surviving are her husband; Richard Crepeau, one daughter, Laurel Crepeau both of Boone, her mother; Joy S. Loomis of Campbell, California, one sister, Lael Wojno of Los Gatos, California, six nieces and four nephews. A gathering for the celebration of the life of Kathryn Loomis Crepeau will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2008 from 6 o'clock until 7:30 at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
