Obituary of Robert M. Warren

Mr. Robert Martin Warren, age 74, of Forest Grove Road, Vilas, died Monday morning, October 3, 2011 at the Davant Extended Care Facility. Born February 21, 1937 in Watauga County, he was a son of the late Spencer and Pearl Brotherton Warren. Mr. Warren was a retired farmer and a member of Forest Grove Baptist Church. He was a US Navy Veteran. He is survived by two sons; Mark Warren and wife Betty, John Warren and wife Debbie, one daughter; Grace Pitts and husband Nathan, four grandchildren; David Warren and wife Miranda, Colby and Carson Warren and Kohen Pitts, one daughter in law Pat Wade all of Vilas, two sisters; Virginia Heaton and husband Allen of Shelby and Joyce May and husband Dennis of Vilas, two brothers; Tom Warren and wife Mary of Ocala, Florida and Jim Warren and wife Lula of Trade, TN, and one sister in law; Sue Hagaman of Boone. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Joyce Warren, one son Rev. Mike Warren, one sister; Lois Warren. Funeral services for Mr. Robert Martin Warren will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2 o\'clock at Forest Grove Baptist Church. The body will lie in state at the church from 1 until 2 o\'clock. Officiating will be Rev. Thomas Brown and Rev. J. C. Greene. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Forest Grove Baptist Church Mission Fund or Cemetery Fund, PO Box 40, Vilas, NC 28692. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6 o\'clock until 8 o\'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
