Thomas Nicholas Berger, age 65, of NC Highway 105 Bypass, died Friday, September 2, 2011 at his home. Born April 24, 1946 in Camden, Jew Jersey, he was a son of the late Nicholas Thomas and Elizabeth Higgins Berger. Thomas graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in Camden, New Jersey and Trenton State College in Trenton, New Jersey. He was a master craftsman and taught woodworking in the Industrial Arts Department at Appalachian State University.
Mr. Berger is survived by his sister, Lorraine Murphy of Port Saint Lucie, Florida, and his brother, James Berger of North Platte, Nebraska.
Memorial services for Thomas Nicholas Berger will be conducted Thursday, September l5,2011 at 2 o'clock at Grace Lutheran Church, officiated by Pastor Derek Boggs.
