Obituary of Janet M. Cannon

Mrs. Janet Main Cannon, age 78, of Boone, died Thursday afternoon, September 8, 2011 at Watauga Medical Center. Born April 21, 1933 in Watauga County, she was a daughter of the late George and Ethel Hatley Main. Janet was a member of the Boone Advent Christian Church. She was a retired Home Health Aide having worked for the Watauga County Project on Aging. She is survived by her husband; Randel Cannon, two daughters; Marcella Cannon Bradford and husband Robert of Boone, and Sarah Cannon Williams and husband Scott Dennis Williams of Boone, one son Charles Douglas Cannon and wife Maxie Sexton Cannon of Chatsworth, Georgia, four grandchildren; Adam Cannon Baldwin, Zachary Cannon Baldwin and Eli Jacob Bradford all of Boone and Christina Sexton Cannon of Chatsworth, Georgia, one sister; Edith West of Rural Hall, and one brother; George Main, Jr., and wife Christine Ragenovich of Roan Mountain, Tennessee. She was preceded in death by her parents; George and Ethel Hatley Main, one brother, Henry Main and one sister Janis Main. Funeral services for Mrs. Janet Main Cannon will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o�clock at the Boone Advent Christian Church. Officiating will be Rev. Gordon Noble. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1 until 2 o�clock at the Boone Advent Christian Church. Burial will follow in the Piney Grove Cemetery.
