Obituary of Ted Y. Reese

Mr. Ted York Reese, age 59, of Henson Branch Road, Vilas, died Monday morning, August 29, 2011 at home. Born July 23, 1952 in Watauga County, he was a son of the late Howard Lee and Goldie Bryan Reece. Ted was a farmer and a jack of all trades. He is survived by one son: Spencer Carroll Reese of South Carolina, four sisters; Rosa Lea Reese Woodring and husband Junior of Boone, Trula Mae Reese Walker and Dottie Mae Reese Lefever both of Morganton, and Francine Reese Bright and husband Lane of Seneca, South Carolina, three brothers; Steve Reese and wife Judy of Mountain City, Michael Reece and wife Marina of Morganton, Avery Reese of Bryson City, a special aunt; Ella Reese of Vilas, and a number of aunts, uncles and nieces. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; L. H. and Spencer Carroll Reese. Funeral services for Mr. Ted York Reese will be conducted Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Homer Murdock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 o'clock until 3 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. The family respectfully requests no food.
