Pauline Nolan Thomas, age 92, of Blowing Rock, died Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at the Davant Extended Care Facility. She was born April 30, 1919 in Ferrum, Virginia to Charles Peter and Pencie Nolan. .
Mrs. Thomas was a very active member of her home church at Lea Bethel Baptist Church. She loved her family, her church community, and thoroughly enjoyed her quilting.
She is survived by her daughter, Anna Goodman and husband, Bill, of Boone; granddaughter, Karen Goodman of Boone; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death her husband, Virgil Thomas and fifteen brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday afternoon, July 17, 2011, at 2 o'clock at Lea Bethel Baptist Church in Prospect Hill, officiated by Brother Paul Harris. The family will receive friends following services. Private graveside services will be in the Lea Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
