Obituary of Mabel T. Wellborn

Mrs. Mabel Triplett Wellborn, age 94, of Hwy 221 Deep Gap, died Friday morning, July 8, 2011 at home. Born November 21, 1916 in Wilkes County, she was a daughter of the late Grady and Lettie Welch Triplett. Mabel was a homemaker and a member of Gap Creek Baptist Church. She is survived by one daughter; Jan Blackburn and husband Chuck, one son; Jack Wellborn and wife Joanne all of Deep Gap, three grandchildren; Phil Wellborn, Patricia Church and Darin Church and wife Jennifer all of Deep Gap, one granddaughter in law; Debbie Wellborn of Deep Gap, three great grandchildren; Tyler Church of Deep Gap, Courtney Eller and husband Jason of Todd and Meagan Wellborn of Deep Gap, and two great-great grandchildren; Peyton and Sawyer Eller of Todd. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Wellborn and one grandson; Mark Wellborn. Funeral services for Mrs. Mabel Triplett Wellborn will be conducted Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Gap Creek Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Rick Critcher and Rev. Paul Coffey. Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park & Gardens.
