Obituary of Mary Ann W. Greene

Mrs. Mary Ann Winebarger Greene, age 45, of Winebarger Drive, Boone, died Wednesday morning June 8, 2011 at home. She was born November 2, 1965 in Watauga County to Richard and Shirley Parsons Winebarger. Mary was a Financial Planning Assistant and was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by her husband; Doug Greene, two sons; Andrew and Phillip Greene of the home, her parents; Richard & Shirley Winebarger of Boone, one brother; James Richard Winebarger, Jr., and wife Connie of Boone, her father and mother in law; Gene and Mildred Greene of Lenoir, two brothers in law; Ricky Greene and wife Patty of Lenoir and Ronnie Greene of Lenoir, one sister in law; Sylvia Martin and husband Brent of Lenoir; four aunts; Ola Trammell, Ann Jarvis, Sarah Parlier and Ruth Winebarger all of Boone, three uncles; David Winebarger and wife Sharon of Triplett, Odell Winebarger of Lenoir; and Walter Winebarger of Lenoir, and a number of cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six uncles: Fred and Tilden Winebarger, Paul, Henry, Otis and Lee Parsons and by one aunt, Alverda Greene. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Ann Winebarger Greene will be conducted Saturday morning at 11 o'clock at Pilot Mountain Baptist Church. Officiating will be Rev. Charles McCoy and Rev. Keith Woodie. Burial will follow in the Pilot Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 10 until 11 o'clock at the church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Greene family to help offset medical expenses in care of Connie Winebarger, 160 Winebarger Drive, Boone, NC 28607.
