Obituary of Carolyn L. Harpe

Carolyn Lewis Harpe, age 71. peacefully passed away June 4, 2011 at UNC Hospital, after a two (2) year battle with lung cancer. Carolyn L. Harpe has resided in Clemmons since 1960. She retired from AT&T as a technical writer, who wrote technical instructional manuals. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Allison Harpe Doumani and Fred Doumani, Jr. of Las Vegas, by her daughter, Debra Harpe of Hampstead, NC, and her adored granddaughters, Angelina Harpe Doumani and Elena Harpe Webb. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Gloria Lewis of Lenoir, NC and brother and sister-in-law, Ernest and Cheryl Lewis of Todd, NC, along with her nephew, Steve Lewis and niece, Donna Lewis Greene, both of Todd, NC. Within the last six years, Carolyn has resided part-time in Hampstead, NC with her daughter and granddaughter, Debra Harpe and Elena Harpe Webb, and she sometimes attended Hampstead United Methodist Church. Carolyn Harpe was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and friend; she loved pets, including her cat, beloved Snowy. Graveside services will be coordinated by Austin and Barnes Funeral Home in Boone. A graveside service will be held Monday afternoon, June 6, 2011 at 2 o'clock, at Hopewell United Methodist Church Cemetery in Boone, NC.
