Obituary of Ralph J. Matheson

June 3, 2011 Mr. Ralph Junior Matheson, age 76, of Pine Tunnel Drive, Sugar Grove, died Thursday evening, June 2, 2011 at home. Born in October 22, 1934 in Pigeon Roost, he was a son of the late Russell and Ruth Shook Matheson. Mr. Matheson was a retired carpenter. He is survived by his wife, Mary Ward Matheson; four daughters, Phyllis Mast and husband, Manley, of Boone, Cathy McDonald and husband, Bobby, of Sugar Grove, Myra Miller and husband, Ronnie, of Glendale Springs, and Lisa Dancy and husband, Scott, of Sugar Grove; eight grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; one brother, James Matheson and one sister, Shirley Berry, both of Patterson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Archie Matheson. Funeral services for Mr. Ralph Junior Matheson will be conducted Sunday afternoon, June 5, 2011 at 3 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Charlie Martin and Rev. Russell Hart. Burial will follow in the Ward Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2 o'clock until 3 o'clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
