Obituary of Nancy M. Cannon

May 13, 2011 Mrs. Nancy Mae Cannon of Butler Tennessee died Thursday May 12, 2011. Born January 14, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Luke and Nellie Ann Morefield. Nancy was a homemaker and enjoyed working in her garden, spoiling her grandchildren and serving her God. Nancy had been a member of Rock Springs Church of Christ since it was established. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, James and Junior Morefield and a sister Diane Guy. Nancy is survived by her husband; Clarence Cannon, one daughter who remained by her side faithfully throughout her battle with cancer, Nancy Anderson (John) of Union Grove, NC, five sons; Clarence "Bubba" Cannon Jr. (Dyanna), Luke Cannon ( Suzanne), Danny Cannon (Rebecca) all of Butler, and Eric Cannon (Gail) of Mountain City, a nephew/son; Buddy Morefield; grandchildren; Jacob, Erica, Hailey, Ashton, Cory, Graydon, Ethan, Emma, Dewayne, Christy, Tommy, Timmy; Great Grandchildren; Lyric, Skylar, Joseph, Macey, Maelie; Sisters; Mary Townsend (Wilbert), Jean Arnette (Junior), Peggy Woodard (Bill), Bessie Hammonds (Boyd), Gracie Osborne (Carl); Brothers; Earl Morefield (Anna Ruth)Everett Morefield (Louise), Edd Morefield (Helen), Harold Morefield (Louise), Stacy Morefield (Martha), Bud Morefield (Kathy), and a number of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. Funeral services for Nancy Mae Cannon will be held at 2:00 PM Friday May 13, 2011 in the Charles B. Hux Memorial Chapel of Hux-Lipford Funeral Home with Mr. Buddy Morefield and Mr. Milton Mathers officiating. Graveside services and interment will follow in the Morefield-Townsend Cemetery.
