Mark Steven Wellborn, age 51, of US Hwy 221 South, Deep Gap, died Wednesday morning, March 9, 2011 at his home. Born September 17, 1959 in Watauga County, he was a son of Jack and Joanne Critcher Wellborn. Mark was a member of the Laurel Springs Baptist Church. He and his father, Jack were co-owners and operators of J & M Wrecker Service. Mark was a member of the Deep Gap Volunteer Fire Department.
Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Debbie Roark Wellborn; two daughters, Courtney Wellborn Eller and husband, Jason, of Todd and Meagan Wellborn of the home; two grandchildren, Sawyer and Peyton Eller; his parents, Jack and Joanne Wellborn, one brother, Phil Wellborn, his paternal grandmother, Mabel Triplett Wellborn and a special aunt, Jan Blackburn and husband, Chuck, all of Deep Gap. A number of aunts, uncles and cousins also survive.
A celebration of life service will be conducted Saturday afternoon, March 12, 2011 at 2 o�clock at the Laurel Springs Baptist Church in Deep Gap, officiated by Rev. Brent Bolick, Rev. Rick Critcher and Rev. Delmar James. Burial will follow in the Laurel Springs Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6 until 9 o�clock at the Laurel Springs Baptist Church on new Highway 421 in Deep Gap.
