Obituary of Michael Allen McNeill

Mr. Michael Allen McNeill, age 50 of Charlotte NC died unexpectedly of a heart attack in his home January 24, 2011. Born September 20, 1960 in Ashe County NC, he was a graduate of Northwest Ashe High School and Appalachian State University. He was employed by the U.S. Treasury Department for 30 years. Surviving are one brother, Norman Wesley McNeill of Winston Salem, NC; three aunts, Mrs. Norma Whitaker of Charlotte, NC, Mrs. Linda McClure Tester and husband Zane of Boone, NC and Mrs. Karen McClure Church and husband Hayden of Millers Creek, NC. Other relatives are cousins, Joyce Rash, Judy Sturgill and John McNeill of Creston, NC; Donna Owens of Mountain City, TN; David Whitaker of Charlotte, NC; Kim Church of Charlotte, NC; Wesley Church of Millers Creek, NC; and Kelly Tester Proffit of Boone, NC. He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Reeves and Lou Ann McClure McNeill; grandparents, Allen and Beulah McNeill of Creston, NC, Harley & Stella McClure of Jefferson, NC and an uncle, Frank McNeill of Creston, NC. A private celebration of life will be held at Michael\\\'s home in Charlotte, NC. Memorial donations may be made to the Watauga Humane Society, 200 Casey Lane, Boone, NC 28607.
