Obituary of Flora H. Jones

Mrs. Flora H. Jones, age 92, of Appalachian Brian Estates, died Tuesday afternoon, January 11, 2011 at Glenbridge Health & Rehabilitation. Born July 21, 1918 in Cuero, Texas, she was a daughter of the late August and Justine Schffler Hadamek. Flora was a homemaker, a seamstress and a talented oil painter. She is survived by her children; Harvard Ayers and wife Mackie Hagaman of Boone, and JoAnn Mochinal and husband Paul of Oak Hill, Virginia and two grandchildren; Adam Ayers and wife Candice of Boone and Pam Reed and husband Mike of Chapel Hill. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband; Vernon Ayers and her second husband Ben Jones. Memorial services for Mrs. Flora H. Jones will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o'clock at Appalachian Brian Estates. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Watauga Humane Society, 200 Casey Lane, Boone, North Carolina 28607.
