Obituary of Sue S. Poole

November 15, 2010 Mrs. Loretta Sue Saunders Poole, age 59, of Snowy Oak Road, Boone, died Sunday morning, November 14, 2010 at Watauga Medical Center. Born September15, 1951 in Anstead, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Frank Saunders, Sr. and Thelma Eagle Saunders. Sue was an avid reader of multiple types of books, loved painting and had a love of cats and was a music collector. She was a very devoted and loving wife, mother and friend. She was loved by all and will be greatly missed. She is survived by her husband of 42 years; Lloyd Poole, three daughters; Candie Poole of Elkton, Maryland, Sherry Miller and husband Randy of Deep Gap, and Crystal Moretz and husband Jeremy of Fleetwood, two sisters; Kathy Taylor and husband Eddie and Debbie Hendrickson and husband Eddie all of North East Maryland, one brother; Steve Saunders and wife Karin of Newark, Delaware, her mother in law; Mae Poole of Vilas, and three sisters in law; Deloris Lewis and husband Lewis of Chilhowie, Virginia, Wanda Poole of Vilas, and Teresa Winebarger and husband Roger of Vilas, nine grandchildren; Adena Duarte and husband Dario, Joshua Hodges, Makayla Poole, Christopher Poole, Brittany Poole, Catie Poole, Ryan Poole, Brianna Moretz and Suzy Moretz, and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother; Frank Saunders, Jr., and her father in law, James Poole and a sister in law Carolyn Osborne and husband Joe Osborne. A memorial service for Loretta Sue Saunders Poole will be conducted Friday afternoon at 3 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home. Officiating will be Pastor Nathan Caparolie. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society Relay for Life in care of Glenda Hodges, 810 Parkcrest Drive, Boone, NC 28607.
