Obituary of Blanche M. Harrison

Mrs. Blanche Moretz Harrison, age 84, of Boone, died Monday afternoon, October 4, 2010 at Lake Norman Regional Medical Center. Born August 3, 1926 in Watauga County, she was the daughter of the late Cloyd and Maggie Woodring Moretz. Mrs. Harrison was a homemaker and a member of Hopewell United Methodist Church. She is survived by her son; Spencer Coolidge Harrison of Cleveland, NC two grandchildren; Donnette Harris and husband Robert, of Cleveland and Alan Brown and wife Tanya of Catawba and three great grandchildren; Jacob Harris of Cleveland and Tiffany and Austin Brown of Catawba. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her daughter in law; Jeannette Worley Harrison and a special friend; Frank Greer. Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Moretz Harrison will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o�clock at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home Chapel. Officiating will be Rev. Jack Hileman. The body will lie in state at the Chapel from 1 until 2 o�clock where the family will receive friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Watauga County Project on Aging, 132 Poplar Grove Connector Road, Suite A, Boone, NC 28607. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 7 o�clock until 8:30 at Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
