Verlee Anderson Cole, age 69, of Cole Drive, Vilas, died Friday morning, August 6, 2010 at Watauga Medical Center. Carrie Verlee was born February 15, 1941 in Watauga County to Bynum and Lucy Hayes Anderson. She and her husband owned and operated Cole Meat Processing in Vilas. Mrs. Cole was a member of Henson Chapel United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Franklin Cole, of the home; one son, Kenny Cole and wife, Leah, of Vilas; one daughter, Teresa Hoyle of Lenoir; four grandchildren, Chad Cole and wife, Maria, and LeAnn Ellis and husband, Andrew, all of Vilas, Patricia Hodges and husband, Jamie, of Boone, and Carrie Sue Fairchild of Granite Falls; five great-grandchildren, Tristin, Kelly and Orion Hodges, Abby Cole and Cole Ellis; three sisters, Ella Mae Trivette and husband, Millard, and Geneva Bentley and husband, Robert, all of Vilas, and Judy Greene and husband, J. B., of Collettsville; one brother, J. C. Anderson and wife, Betty, of Damascus, Virginia. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Clinton Dale Cole, one brother, Bill Anderson, and one son-in-law, Randy Hoyle.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday afternoon, August 9, 2010 at 2 o�clock at Henson Chapel United Methodist Church, officiated by Pastor Katherine Cornell and Rev. J. C. Greene.
Burial will follow at Mount Lawn Memorial Park and Gardens.

The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 until 8 o�clock at the Austin & Barnes Funeral Home.
